Our first concert recording from the Presonus SL 16.4.2 boards. This recording is from a May 1 , 2010 benefit concert. The board was 2 SL 16.4.2 connected via firewire, with a Mac Book Pro running the Capture Software recording at 41Kz.  While the resolution on the board was quite good, our signers could have been a bit more polished, but it is what it is...we had a haze machine running in the background. Unfortunately you can hear it being picked up by the I5’s mic’ing the guitars. This mix is RAW and there was no mix down, automation, effects, etc. added in other than the MAINS output which did have some effects on it. Next time we will also include audience ambience mics to pic up the audix and give the recording a bit of air.  This link is to the first 20-25 minutes of the concert, the above link is the last hour.

This mix has been tweaked a bit in Studio One with automation, effects, etc. added in other than the MAINS output which did have some effects on it.

The board was (2) SL 16.4.2 connected via firewire, with a Mac Book Pro running the Capture Software recording at 41Kz.  While the resolution on the board was quite good, we did a small amount of mixdown with Presonus Studio One Artist software. The mics were all Audix for vocals, except for one die hard that wanted to use his Beta 58. We also have video of this event on our website in widescreen format.
